Slingshot's Run of "Tamra"
Our inaugural run is done!
Slingshot Theater Company's very first full-length play went up at The PIT throughout the month of May. We couldn't be more thrilled with the outcome. A tremendous learning experience in balancing producing duties along with a brief acting cameo, I'm happy to say that the next production I help produce will be even better than the last.
This hilarious show had an ambitiously large cast, a writer making his world premiere (along with graduating from his Master's program in the same month), and a production team with limited experience producing a play in an unfamiliar venue.
The PIT's team could not have been more gracious. Our audiences were engaged, and those ShowScore Members who were invited wrote many thoughtful reviews.
There are so many moving parts involved in putting up a show. There are so many moving parts involved in life as a whole. Being part of the team at the helm of this endeavor, my biggest takeaways are: Be a pleasure to work with, show up on time, be prepared, eat well, and get plenty of sleep. Fun will be a byproduct.
